Neezon: Smarty Discounts Review (2026)
Multi-currency and multi-market stores that have hit the wall of what Shopify’s native discounts can express, on an app with a badge but barely any reviews.
SCORE
/10
Neezon: Smarty Discounts builds advanced Shopify discount rules with multi-currency and market targeting, customer segmentation and complex conditions, covering product, order, shipping and mix-and-match discount types. It carries the Built for Shopify badge and launched in January 2025, but has only 3 reviews (rated 5.0), so its track record is unproven. There is a permanently free plan with unlimited discounts of the basic type; Lite is $9.99 a month and Pro $25.99, both with a 3-day free trial.

What Neezon actually does
The app is a discount rules engine. Rather than a single percentage on a collection, it lets you compose conditions: which products or order values qualify, which customer segment, which market and currency, which time period. Discount types span product, order, shipping and mix-and-match, and free shipping can be attached to a single rule. The point is expressing a campaign as one rule instead of a stack of near-duplicates you then have to keep in sync.
Tiering works differently here than in most apps and it is easy to misread. The free plan gives unlimited discounts, but only of the free-plan type, plus up to 2 discounts using Lite-tier features. Lite at $9.99 gives unlimited Lite-type discounts plus up to 2 using Pro features. Pro at $25.99 unlocks everything: all discount types, all targeting, time periods. So each tier gives you unlimited access to its own level and a two-rule taste of the level above, which is an unusually generous way to let you test the next tier before buying it.

Pros & cons
- Multi-currency and market targeting as a first-class condition, which Shopify’s native discounts handle poorly
- Covers product, order, shipping and mix-and-match discounts rather than percentage-off only
- Permanently free plan with unlimited basic discounts, you can test real rules at zero cost
- Each tier includes 2 discounts from the tier above, so you can trial the next level before paying for it
- Carries the Built for Shopify badge, which Shopify does not award to brand-new listings
- Only 3 reviews after 19 months, far too thin to treat as proven
- Discount logic is money-critical: a misfiring rule either blocks customers or gives away margin
- The paid trial is just 3 days, not enough to learn a rules engine properly
- Tier descriptions are confusingly worded and easy to misread when choosing a plan
- Support quality is unknown at this review volume

Before you spend trial time
- Use the permanent free plan to evaluate, not the 3-day paid trial, 3 days is not enough
- Test every rule with a real test order before it goes near a live promotion
- Check behaviour specifically in a secondary market and currency, which is the app’s main claim
- Verify what happens when two rules could both apply, stacking behaviour is where discount apps break
- Read all 3 reviews; at this volume each one carries real information
- Do not launch a major campaign on this until you have run it quietly for a few weeks
Pricing
Plans (verify on the listing): Forever Free: unlimited discounts at the free-plan level, plus up to 2 discounts using Lite features; product and order types, basic targeting, low-priority support. Lite $9.99/mo ($99.99/yr, ~17% off): unlimited Lite-level discounts plus up to 2 using Pro features; adds shipping and mix-and-match types, enhanced targeting, priority support. Pro $25.99/mo ($259.99/yr): unlimited discounts, all types, all targeting, active time periods, free shipping on a single rule. Paid tiers carry only a 3-day free trial, use the permanent free plan to evaluate instead, since 3 days is not enough to learn a rules engine.

Closing take
The concept is sound and the free plan is unusually generous, which together make this worth a look if native discounts have genuinely blocked you. The market and currency targeting is a real gap in Shopify’s own tooling and this addresses it directly.
But three reviews is three reviews. The Built for Shopify badge tells you Shopify has checked the fundamentals; it does not tell you the discount logic holds up under an edge case at 2am during a sale. Test it on the free plan, at length, before it touches a campaign that matters.

Frequently asked questions
Is Neezon safe to use for a big promotion?
Not without testing first. It has only 3 reviews after 19 months, and discount logic is money-critical, a misfiring rule either blocks valid customers or gives away margin. Run it on the free plan for a while before trusting it with a major campaign.
Is there a free plan?
Yes, permanently. It gives unlimited discounts at the free-plan level plus up to 2 discounts using Lite features, which makes it a genuine evaluation route rather than a teaser.
What does it do that Shopify discounts cannot?
Compound conditions: multi-currency and market targeting, customer segmentation and complex condition rules in a single discount, across product, order, shipping and mix-and-match types.
How do the tiers work?
Each tier gives unlimited discounts at its own level plus up to 2 using the tier above. Free includes 2 Lite-level rules, Lite includes 2 Pro-level rules, and Pro unlocks everything at $25.99 a month.
Does it have the Built for Shopify badge?
Yes. That is a meaningful quality signal Shopify does not award to brand-new listings, and it is the main reason we treat this differently from an app with no track record at all.
Why is the trial only 3 days?
That is what the paid tiers offer, and it is genuinely short for a rules engine. Use the permanent free plan to evaluate instead, there is no time pressure on it.
