Section Store: Theme Sections Review (2026)
700+ theme sections you buy once, plus a $15 subscription for the conversion half, and it never scales with your sales.
SCORE
/10
Section Store adds plug-and-play sections to any Shopify theme, testimonials, FAQs, feature grids, trust badges and more, which you edit in Shopify’s own theme editor rather than a separate page builder. It holds 4.9 from 2,985 reviews with the Built for Shopify badge. The app is free to install with sections and templates sold as one-time charges; Section Store Plus is $15 a month and adds bundles, quantity breaks, a cart drawer with AI upsell and 20+ curated conversion blocks, with a 14-day trial.

What Section Store actually does
The core is a library of over 700 sections you browse, buy and add to any theme. Once installed, a section behaves like a native one: it appears in Shopify’s theme editor and you configure it there, with the usual drag-to-reorder and per-section settings. Coverage spans the page types most stores need, landing and home pages, product and collection pages, FAQ and help pages, contact and about pages, footers, 404s, plus templates to start a new store from a proven layout rather than a blank theme.
The Plus subscription is a different product bolted on: quantity breaks and multi-product bundles, a cart drawer with upsells, free-shipping progress and trust icons, and around 20 conversion blocks for the buy box such as social proof, stock indicators, shipping info and add-ons. There is an AI setup path too, the listing shows generating a bundle from a screenshot and populating buy-box blocks automatically. Treat the AI framing as convenience rather than magic; the underlying blocks are what you are buying.

Pros & cons
- Sections are a one-time charge, so they keep working if you stop subscribing
- 4.9 from 2,985 reviews with the Built for Shopify badge, the deepest base in this batch
- Edited in Shopify’s own theme editor, so no page builder owns your storefront
- Plus is a flat $15/mo that the listing says never scales with sales
- Templates let a new store start from a proven layout instead of a blank theme
- Not a full page builder, you get configurable sections, not arbitrary layout control
- The conversion features (bundles, cart drawer, buy-box blocks) are the $15 subscription, not the one-time purchase
- One-time pricing only pays off if the section you need already exists, check the catalogue first
- Page-speed claims are the vendor’s; we have not benchmarked them
- We have not run it on a live store; this assessment comes from the listing, pricing and review distribution

Before you spend trial time
- Browse the catalogue for the specific sections you need before spending anything, one-time pricing only helps if they exist
- Install one free section first and confirm it renders correctly on your theme
- Check the section appears and configures properly in your theme editor, not a separate dashboard
- Run PageSpeed Insights before and after adding sections rather than trusting any speed claim
- If you want the bundles and cart drawer, use the 14-day Plus trial and measure AOV against the $15
- Confirm what happens to a purchased section if you later uninstall the app
Pricing
Plans (verify on the listing): Section Store is free to install. Sections and templates are sold as one-time charges, with some sections free, and support is human rather than bot. Section Store Plus is $15 a month and adds bundles, mix-and-match and quantity breaks, a cart drawer with AI upsell, conversion blocks for the buy box and 20+ curated sections, with priority support and a 14-day free trial. The listing states the $15 price never scales with sales.

Closing take
The pitch is simple and unusually honest: themes ship with about fifteen sections, you need more, and the alternatives are a page builder you have to learn or a developer you have to pay. Buying a section outright and editing it where you already work is a cleaner answer than either.
The $15 Plus tier is the part to judge on numbers. Bundles, quantity breaks and a cart drawer are standard AOV tools, and $15 flat is cheap for them if they work on your store. Run the trial, measure average order value against the fee, and keep it only if the maths holds.

Frequently asked questions
Is Section Store a page builder?
No. It adds sections to your existing theme that you edit in Shopify’s own theme editor. You get configurable blocks rather than free-form layout control, which is a deliberate trade: your storefront stays in your theme instead of being owned by a builder app.
How much does Section Store cost?
The app is free to install, with sections and templates sold as one-time charges and some sections free. Section Store Plus is $15 a month for the conversion features, bundles, quantity breaks, cart drawer and buy-box blocks, with a 14-day free trial.
Do I keep the sections if I stop paying?
Sections are a one-time charge rather than a subscription, which is the central promise of the pricing model. Confirm the exact terms for your purchases during setup, since the monthly Plus features are separate and do stop with the subscription.
Will it slow my store down?
The listing argues the opposite, that replacing slow apps with a section can improve page speed. We have not benchmarked it. Measure your own pages with PageSpeed Insights before and after rather than relying on any vendor’s claim.
Does it work with my theme?
Sections are designed to drop into any theme and are edited through the standard theme editor. Install a free section first to confirm it renders correctly with your theme’s styling before buying anything.
Is it worth it over the sections my theme already has?
Only if you actually need section types your theme lacks, comparison tables, FAQ layouts, testimonial grids, trust rows. If your theme covers your pages, save the money.
