Quick answer

Lyst ‑ Wishlist & Favorites adds a wishlist to a Shopify store, with price-drop and restock alerts, guest wishlists, sharing by link, email, Facebook and TikTok, and revenue attribution reporting in the admin. It launched in May 2026 and has 1 review rated 5.0, with no Built for Shopify badge, so it is unproven. The free plan covers 50 wishlists with full branding customisation and multi-language and multi-currency support; Basic is $4.99 a month for up to 1,000 wishlists and Unlimited is $9.99.

🎯
Our Verdict

The free plan here is the story, and it is genuinely unusual. Most wishlist apps put the useful parts behind a paywall: branding control, guest wishlists, revenue reporting. Lyst’s free tier includes deep per-element branding customisation, guest wishlists, multi-language and multi-currency support, sale and sold-out labels, sharing across four channels, and admin reporting on top products and revenue attribution. What it limits is quantity, 50 wishlists, not capability. For a small store that is a complete product at no cost.

The feature worth caring about most is revenue attribution. A wishlist is easy to justify on vibes and hard to justify on numbers, and an app that reports which saved products actually converted turns it from decoration into something you can evaluate. Price-drop and restock alerts are the other half: a wishlist is really a permission structure for a well-timed email, and those two triggers are the ones customers genuinely welcome rather than resent.

Then there is the obvious problem. **One review.** The app launched in May 2026, has no Built for Shopify badge, and a single five-star rating tells you nothing statistically. We are not going to recommend it on that basis, and no honest review should. What we can say is that the risk here is lower than for most unproven apps, because a wishlist is not money-critical infrastructure, if it misbehaves you lose a feature, not orders or margin, and the free plan means you lose no money discovering that. The pricing is also modest enough ($4.99 and $9.99) that the downside is small. Treat it as a low-risk experiment on the free plan, and check back when there is a review base worth reading. If you need a wishlist you can depend on today, choose something with a track record.

01

What Lyst actually does

Customers save products to a wishlist, including as guests without an account, and can share the list by link, email, Facebook or TikTok. Alerts fire on price drops and restocks, which are the two moments a wishlist genuinely earns its place, the customer asked to be told, so the email is welcome rather than intrusive. Sale, sold-out and compare-at price labels display on saved items so the list stays informative rather than becoming a stale archive.

On the admin side there is reporting on top wishlisted products and revenue attribution, which is what lets you judge whether the feature is doing anything. Branding is customisable per element, and multi-language and multi-currency are supported. Notably all of that is on the free plan; the paid tiers raise the wishlist count from 50 to 1,000 at $4.99 and to unlimited at $9.99, with cross-device customer wishlists and a Save For Later button in the cart added at the Basic tier.

Pros & cons

✓ Pros
  • The free plan limits quantity, not capability, branding, guest wishlists and reporting are all included
  • Revenue attribution reporting, which turns a wishlist from a vibe into a measurable feature
  • Price-drop and restock alerts, the two wishlist emails customers actually want
  • Guest wishlists without requiring an account, removing the usual signup friction
  • Paid tiers are only $4.99 and $9.99, so the downside is small
✗ Cons
  • One review, launched May 2026, no Built for Shopify badge, no track record whatsoever
  • The 50-wishlist free cap will be reached quickly by any store with real traffic
  • Cross-device wishlists for logged-in customers need the paid tier
  • Support quality is completely unknown
  • Alert deliverability is unproven, and a wishlist whose alerts do not arrive is pointless

  • 2Send yourself a price-drop and a restock alert and confirm both actually arrive
  • 3Test the guest wishlist and what happens when that guest later creates an account
  • 4Check the wishlist renders correctly on mobile and does not clash with your cart drawer
  • 5Watch the 50-wishlist free cap; decide in advance what you do when you hit it
  • 6Given one review, keep an eye on whether the app is still being updated in three months

Current Plans & Trials

Plans (verify on the listing): Free: 50 wishlists, guest wishlists, deep per-element branding, multi-language and multi-currency, sale and sold-out and compare-at labels, sharing by link, email, Facebook and TikTok, and admin reporting on top products and revenue attribution. Basic $4.99/mo: up to 1,000 wishlists, cross-device customer wishlists, Save For Later in the cart, 7-day trial. Unlimited $9.99/mo: unlimited wishlists, 7-day trial. The free plan is unusually complete, it restricts volume rather than features, which makes it the sensible way to evaluate an app this new.

Closing take

For zero pounds this gives a small store a complete wishlist with alerts, sharing and revenue reporting, and the decision to limit the free plan by volume rather than by feature is a genuinely merchant-friendly one. If a wishlist suits how your customers shop, it costs nothing to find out.

We are not recommending it, because one review is not evidence and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. But a wishlist is a low-stakes place to take a chance on a new app, nothing breaks if it underperforms, and you can leave at any time having spent nothing. Revisit once there is a review base worth reading.

Frequently asked questions

Should I install Lyst?

Only as a low-risk experiment. It launched in May 2026, has one review and no Built for Shopify badge, so there is no track record. A wishlist is not money-critical, and the free plan means an experiment costs nothing, but if you need something dependable today, choose an app with history.

What does the free plan include?

Almost everything: 50 wishlists, guest wishlists, per-element branding, multi-language and multi-currency, price labels, sharing across four channels, and admin reporting with revenue attribution. It limits volume rather than features.

Does it send price drop and restock alerts?

Yes, both. Those are the two wishlist notifications customers genuinely welcome, since they asked to be told. Test that they actually deliver before relying on them.

Can customers use it without an account?

Yes, guest wishlists are supported and included on the free plan. Cross-device wishlists for logged-in customers require the $4.99 Basic tier.

How much does it cost?

Free for 50 wishlists, $4.99 a month for up to 1,000, or $9.99 for unlimited. Paid tiers include a 7-day free trial.

Can I tell whether the wishlist is actually making money?

The admin reporting includes top wishlisted products and revenue attribution, which is more than many wishlist apps offer and is the right way to judge whether the feature earns its place.
